About the Drip Paintings
Radka Gicheva’s drip paintings are made differently from her layered abstracts. Instead of building texture with gesso and collage, she throws and drips acrylic and enamel paint onto the canvas, a technique inspired by the action painting of Jackson Pollock. Neon Rhythm (2026) layers electric neon tones in splashes and drips across a 30 × 40 cm canvas.
Whispers of Motion, a 200 × 120 cm enamel and acrylic painting from November 2025 that has since sold, took a more minimal approach: bold black enamel lines across open space, softened by splatters of yellow, orange and dark blue.
